Natural History Museum

Pacific Asia Museum
Established in 1971, the museum is one of only four U.S. institutions dedicated to the arts and culture of Asia and the Pacific Islands, serving the city of Los Angeles and the Greater Southern California region. The museum’s mission is to further intercultural understanding through the arts of Asia and the Pacific Islands. It is located at 46 North Los Robles Avenue, Pasadena, CA 91101 (626) 449-2742.

Pasadena Museum of History
Founded in 1924 to preserve and share the rich history, art, and culture of Pasadena and neighboring communities, Pasadena Museum of History has developed into one of the country's premiere institutions of its size. It is located at 470 West Walnut Street, Pasadena, CA 91103 (626) 577-1660.

Pasadena Heritage
The mission of Pasadena Heritage is to identify, preserve and protect the historic, architectural, and cultural resources of the City of Pasadena through advocacy, education, and oral histories.  Pasadena Heritage is one of the oldest historic preservation groups in Southern California and the second largest in the state. With more than 2,000 members, it is also one of the City of Pasadena's largest membership organizations.  It is located at 651 South Saint John Avenue, Pasadena, California 91105.

Pasadena Heritage Annual Birthday Celebration
Every year the Pasadena Heritage celebrates its birthday with a spectacular party on the Colorado Street Bridge.  This night of music, dancing, vintage cars, fun for kids of all ages, and festive foods and beverages.  Tickets on sale in June.  Event is in July.

Pasadena Digital History
Pasadena Digital History provides you access to the greatest collection of digitized, historical archives in Pasadena. It has over 5,000 digital objects and strives to build the largest, comprehensive database of images, stories, and publications relating to Pasadena for educational use.

Early Views of Pasadena
Pasadena is a part of the original Mexican land grant named Rancho del Rincon de San Pascual, so named because it was deeded on Easter Sunday to Eulalia Perez de Guillén Mariné of Mission San Gabriel Arcángel. The Rancho comprised the lands of today's communities of Pasadena, Altadena and South Pasadena.
